Set up your company details (required before generating)

Available on all plans

Your documents carry your company's name, address and email — so those three fields must be set before anything generates. Do it once, first.

Complete your profile

  1. Open Settings from the sidebar.

  2. Fill in Company Name, Company Address and Company Email.

The address needs at least an address line and postcode — it's printed on your documents. Contact name, phone, website and logo (Pro and above) are optional but make the paperwork look the part.

  3. Click Save Profile.

If you hit the block mid-wizard

Starting a document with incomplete details sends you to Settings with "Please complete your company profile before generating documents." — save the missing fields and you're returned straight to where you were. If generation itself is refused, the message names the exact field (for example "Add your company email in settings to issue this document.").

Getting around Settings on your phone

On a computer, the settings sections (Profile, Billing, Integrations, Hazards, Work Types, Document Defaults, Legislation, Company Docs, Export Data, Notifications, Account) sit in the sidebar under Settings.

On a phone, they're behind a single Settings menu button at the top of the Settings page. It shows the section you're currently on. Tap it and a menu slides up from the bottom listing every section — the one you're on has a tick — so tap any section to jump straight to it. The menu closes on its own once you've picked one.

Frequently asked questions

Why won't my document generate?

The most common reason: company details aren't complete. Company name, company address (address line and postcode) and company email are required before any document generates — they appear on your PDFs. Fill them in Settings and retry; the message tells you exactly which field is missing.

Can I add my logo?

Yes — on Pro and above, upload your company logo from the Company Logo field in Settings and it appears on every generated document in place of the Starter watermark. If your plan doesn't include logo upload, that field shows a lock with an Upgrade to add your logo button instead of an upload control — it takes you to the pricing page. Accounts grandfathered into branded PDFs keep the upload control.
