Common questions about RAMS, CPPs, site inductions, and compliance plans
How to create your first project on The Site Book
Sign up for a free account, go to your Dashboard, and click 'New Project'. Describe your job in plain English — type it, paste it, or use voice input. We extract the key details and set up your project automatically.
You can create Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), COSHH assessments, method statements, and induction packs. All documents follow CDM 2015 structure.
Most documents are created in under 2 minutes. A typical CPP or RAMS can be completed in under 5 minutes from start to download, including entering your project details.
Understanding subscription costs and billing
Founder pricing (locked in for life): £39/month or £360/year (£30/month). After launch, prices rise to £49/month and £499/year. One flat price for unlimited projects and documents. Your first project is always free.
Yes, cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. No minimum term, no cancellation fees. You keep access until the end of your billing period and your documents are never deleted.
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payments are secure and PCI compliant.
After your 14-day free trial, you move to the Starter plan. You keep your existing project and documents, but you'll need Pro for unlimited projects and fully branded PDFs.
Creating RAMS, CPPs, COSHH, and site inductions
A CPP is required under CDM 2015 for most construction projects. It covers project details, management arrangements, risk assessments, emergency procedures, and health & safety information. We create a fully compliant CPP based on your project details.
RAMS stands for Risk Assessment and Method Statement. It identifies the hazards of a job, assesses the risks, and outlines safe working methods. Most principal contractors require RAMS before you can start work on site.
COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments identify hazardous substances used on a project and outline the control measures needed to protect workers. We create these based on the substances you specify.
Yes, all content is fully editable. Open any document, make your changes in the editor, and save. You can also recreate specific sections if needed.
Managing your account, password, and team access
Go to Settings → Account to manage your account security. You can update your password and other authentication settings there.
Go to Settings → Billing and click 'Upgrade to PRO'. Choose monthly (£39/mo) or annual (£360/year), enter your card details, and you're upgraded instantly.
Right now The Site Book is a single-user account. You can share document links with read-only access — click 'Share' on any document to get a link. Team collaboration features are coming soon.
Click the 'Share' button on any document to create a read-only link. Send this to your client or principal contractor — they can view the document without needing an account.
Trying The Site Book before you sign up
Yes — view real sample RAMS, CPP, and Site Induction documents on our samples page at /samples. These are full documents created by The Site Book so you can see exactly what you'll get.
Using advanced features: specificity scoring, SDS uploads, templates
Every document you create gets a site-specificity score out of 100. It checks for vague phrases like 'appropriate PPE' or 'as required', missing site details, unnamed personnel, and weak controls. You get one-click suggestions to fix each issue — so your documents prove to an inspector they're tailored to your actual job, not a generic template.
Yes. Upload any manufacturer Safety Data Sheet (SDS) as a PDF and we extract the hazard statements, PPE requirements, first aid measures, exposure limits, and disposal information automatically. Review what was extracted, approve it, and the substance is saved to your library for reuse across all projects.
Yes. You can save sites (address, contacts, emergency info), contacts, and full project setups as templates. Next time you create a similar job, start from a saved template instead of typing everything again. You can also clone any existing project in one click.
Yes. You can export everything as a ZIP file anytime — all documents, all projects, all metadata. Go to Settings and click Export. No need to contact support.
Your data is never deleted. After cancelling, you keep read-only access to your full history — every document, every project. You can also export everything as a ZIP at any time, including after your subscription ends.
CDM 2015, HSE, and UK construction compliance
Yes. All documents are structured following CDM 2015 regulations and are accepted by the HSE. The templates cover principal contractor and principal designer requirements.
For projects that require a principal designer under CDM 2015, you may still need to appoint one. The Site Book handles the documentation side — CPPs, RAMS, and compliance paperwork — but doesn't replace the legal role of a principal designer.
The Site Book covers CDM 2015 (Construction Design and Management Regulations), COSHH regulations, and general health & safety requirements for UK construction projects. Documents are structured to meet HSE expectations.
