Real documents, created in minutes.

These are actual documents created by The Site Book for a domestic extension project. No templates — every document is tailored to the specific job.

What's Inside Each Document

Every document The Site Book creates is structured to meet CDM 2015 requirements. Here's what you'll find in each one.

RAMS — Risk Assessment & Method Statement

A combined risk assessment and method statement covering every stage of your job. The risk assessment lists site-specific hazards with likelihood and severity ratings, control measures, and responsible persons. The method statement provides a step-by-step safe system of work so every operative knows the sequence of tasks, the equipment needed, and the safety precautions at each stage. It also includes a COSHH section documenting any hazardous substances used on site, their exposure limits, required PPE, and emergency procedures. Most principal contractors and main contractors require RAMS before any subcontractor can start work.

CPP — Construction Phase Plan

The Construction Phase Plan is the cornerstone document under CDM 2015. It sets out how health and safety will be managed throughout the construction phase. Our CPP covers project description and scope, management structure and responsibilities, site rules and arrangements, risk assessments, welfare facilities, emergency procedures, fire safety, and arrangements for monitoring and review. It's required before work begins on any project with more than one contractor, and good practice on every job.

Site Induction

A site induction ensures every worker arriving on site understands the hazards, site rules, emergency procedures, and welfare arrangements before they start work. Our induction documents cover site-specific risks, first aid and fire assembly points, PPE requirements, reporting procedures, and key contacts. Workers read and sign from their phone — giving you a timestamped, digital record for your compliance file without chasing paper forms.

Covers site rules, emergency procedures, PPE requirements, and key contact information. Workers sign digitally before starting on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a RAMS look like?
Our RAMS includes a full risk assessment with site-specific hazards and control measures, detailed method statements with step-by-step safe systems of work, a COSHH section listing substances used on site, and emergency procedures. Every section is tailored to the actual job — not a generic template.
What's in a Construction Phase Plan?
Our CPP covers site-specific risks, welfare arrangements, emergency procedures, management structure, site rules, and all sections required under CDM 2015. It's written for your specific project — the address, the scope, the trades on site.
Can I download these sample documents?
Yes, you can download any sample document as a PDF. View them in your browser or save them to your device. When you sign up, your documents will be tailored to your specific project.
Are these documents accepted by principal contractors?
Yes. Every document follows the structure that principal contractors, site managers, and HSE inspectors expect. RAMS include proper hazard tables with likelihood × severity ratings, control measures, and responsible persons. CPPs cover all CDM 2015 required sections. These are the same formats accepted on sites across the UK.
How are these different from a blank template?
Templates give you an empty form to fill in — you still need to know what to write. The Site Book creates finished documents from your project description. Hazards, control measures, method steps, and COSHH data are all generated based on the actual work you're doing, not copied from a generic checklist.
How long does it take to create documents like these?
Most documents are ready in under two minutes. Describe your project in plain English, review the output, and download a branded PDF. No forms to fill in, no sections to guess at — the structure and content are created for you.

What Makes These Different from Templates?

Templates give you a blank form to fill in. The Site Book creates finished, site-specific documents from your job description. Here's what that means in practice.

  • Site-specific hazards and controls

Every risk assessment references the actual hazards on your job — not a generic checklist. Working at height on a domestic extension is different from a commercial fit-out, and your documents reflect that.

  • CDM 2015 structure built in

Every document follows the section structure that principal contractors and HSE inspectors expect. No missing sections, no guesswork about what to include.

  • Branded, professional PDFs

Your documents include your company name, logo, and project details. They look professional when you hand them to a client or a site manager — not like a form you downloaded off the internet.

  • Digital sign-offs included

Site inductions and toolbox talks come with built-in digital sign-off. Workers read and sign from their phone. You get a timestamped record — no paper forms to chase or file.
