Worker tracking
Never get caught with an expired CSCS card
Add your workers once, use them across every project. We track their certs and alert you before anything expires.

How it works
Set it up once. Never worry about expired certs again.
Add workers to your directory
Name, trade, contact details. Do it once — they're available for every project going forward.
Upload their certs
CSCS cards, first aid, IPAF, PASMA, asbestos awareness — whatever they've got. We store it all.
Assign them to projects
Drag workers onto a project. Their certs, qualifications, and induction status travel with them.
We alert you before anything expires
Email and in-app alerts before a cert lapses. No more finding out on site when an inspector asks.
What's included
- Worker directory — your whole team in one place
- Cert expiry alerts — email and in-app, before anything lapses
- CSCS card tracking with expiry dates and card types
- First aid, IPAF, PASMA, and custom qualification tracking
- Site induction sign-offs — digital signatures on any device
- Project worker assignment — know who's on which site
- Subcontractor worker tracking — their people, your oversight
- Qualification history — see what's current, what's expired, what's coming up
Full worker details and role assignments

If an inspector asks who's on site and whether they're qualified — you've got the answer in two taps.
No spreadsheets. No ringing the office. Open the app, show them the worker's profile, their certs, and their induction sign-off. Sorted.
That's the difference between compliance software and a folder full of photocopies.

Common questions about worker tracking
What certs can I track?
Anything your workers hold — CSCS cards, first aid at work, IPAF, PASMA, asbestos awareness, SMSTS, SSSTS, NVQs, and any custom qualifications you add. Each cert has an expiry date, and we alert you before it lapses so you can get renewals sorted in advance.
Does it work for subcontractor workers?
Yes. You can add subcontractor workers to your directory and track their certs the same way. When they're assigned to your project, their qualification status is visible alongside your own team. If a sub's worker has an expired cert, you'll know before they turn up on site.
How far ahead do alerts go?
We send the first alert 90 days before expiry, then again at 30 days and 7 days. That gives you plenty of time to arrange renewals or replacements. You can see all upcoming expiries in one dashboard view, sorted by date.
Where it helps and where it doesn't
Pros
- CSCS, first aid, and plant ticket expiry tracked per worker
- Automatic renewal alerts by email before the cert runs out
- Photo upload of cert back/front for on-site verification
- Per-project competency reporting for principal contractors
Cons
- No CSCS Smart Check API integration — uploads are manual
- No biometric authentication on cert uploads
- Subcontractor-managed cert uploads need a shared login flow (manual)
Why The Site Book
- UK construction compliance tool that ships RAMS + CPP + COSHH + inductions + worker sign-off plus Business site attendance, portal users, site files, document reviews, subcontractor evidence and inspections/actions.
- AI-generated documents are site-specific from a natural-language brief, not a template library you hand-fill - cuts writing a RAMS from 2 hours to under 5 minutes.
- Worker sign-off, PCPP import, cert tracking, and document checking are included at the entry tier, not locked behind an enterprise plan.
- Transparent pricing: Starter £0, Pro £39/month or £360/year, Business £199/month with 5 internal team logins and 25 active site portal users.
- Build RAMS for any trade - add your own work types and method statements alongside the built-in library, reusable across projects, including a ready-made Commercial Solar PV group.

Compared against the competition
How TheSiteBook stacks up
Best Construction Site Access Software UK (2026)
No single tool wins for everyone: biometric platforms secure large perimeters, payroll-led tools nail time and attendance, and only The Site Book's Site Control generates the UK CDM pack while controlling per-site contractor access.

Best Construction Site Sign-In App UK (2026)
Most construction site sign-in apps log who is present: SwipedOn and Sine are the easiest visitor sign-in, SignOnSite leads on geofenced construction sign-in, and only The Site Book's Site Control turns sign-in into a control gate that also generates the UK CDM pack behind it.

The Site Book Site Control vs Assignar
Assignar owns crew-and-plant scheduling for self-performing heavy-civil contractors; Site Control wins when you need per-site contractor access, induction gating, UK-CDM document generation and multi-company isolation at a transparent price.
