Save sites and contacts for reuse
Available on all plans
Open Saved Sites & Contacts from the sidebar. If you work repeat jobs for the same clients or on the same developments, save the details once here.
Save a site
On the Sites tab, click Add Site.
Name it and enter the address.
Site name, address and postcode are required. You can also store the nearest hospital and site notes.
Save a contact
On the Contacts tab, click Add Contact.
Pick the contact type and enter their details.
Contacts are grouped by type so the right dropdown offers the right people.
Link a project to a saved site
Picking a site from the Use a saved site dropdown (when creating a project, or on its Details tab) links the project to that site as well as filling the address. On the project's edit page the Saved site box shows the link — the dropdown reads Not linked to a saved site until you choose one, and if the typed address exactly matches one saved site, a one-click This address matches “…” — link it button offers the link.
The link controls what site supervisors can see. On the Business plan, open Team, find the supervisor, and use Assign a site — they then see every project linked to that saved site (present and future), and only those. Or a single project grants one job instead, which also covers projects with a typed address that aren't linked to any site.
Editing the project's address clears the link automatically — a job that moves must be re-linked to its new site, so the old site's supervisors don't keep it. Full role details: Team logins and roles.
The Templates tab
The third tab, Templates, lists whole projects you've saved to reuse — the CDM details, site rules, method statements and COSHH selection from a job you set up once. You don't create them here: open a project, click the ⋮ button next to its title (on a phone, the Project menu button), and choose Save as template. Saving a template is available to account owners and admins on the Pro plan or higher.
Use one from Projects → New project, where a Start from a template panel appears at the top of the details step once you have at least one saved. On this tab you can review your templates and delete any you no longer need — deleting one never affects the projects you already created from it. Full walkthrough: Create a project.
Frequently asked questions
How do I use a saved site on a project?
On the project's Details tab (and when creating a project), the Site section shows a "Use a saved site" dropdown — picking one fills the address and nearest hospital, and links the project to that site. The People section has matching "Use saved contact" dropdowns.
What does linking a project to a saved site do?
It groups the job with the others at that place, and on the Business plan it decides what site supervisors see: a supervisor assigned to a saved site (Team page) can open exactly the projects linked to it. Editing the project's address clears the link, so a job that moves stops appearing at the old site.
What contact types can I save?
Client, Principal Contractor, Principal Designer, Architect, Structural Engineer and Emergency contacts.
