F-Gas Regulations (EU 517/2014 retained in UK law) and BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
Air conditioning installers must hold F-gas certification to handle refrigerants under the F-Gas Regulations. Systems containing 5 tonnes CO2 equivalent or more require mandatory leak checks. Electrical work must comply with BS 7671 and Building Regulations Part P. Large cooling systems must comply with HSE guidance on Legionella control (L8/HSG274). CDM 2015 applies to all installation work, particularly where rooftop access, crane lifts, or building modifications are involved.
